As a result, the Hautes-Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es offers a mosaic of landscapes much appreciated by hikers and cyclists alike. Mountains cover a large part of the territory. Le Vignemale, the highest peak in the Pyrenees (3,298 m), is in the Hautes-Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es. The Pic du Midi de Bigorre massif also impresses by its sheer size, 20 km long and 10 km wide. Its highest point, the Pic du Midi, culminates at 2877 meters.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left is-style-hrz-p--base has-ternary-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2677ad61831d1ec628fa00b9c0b9bb13\">Accessible by cable car from La Mongie, the Pic du Midi offers breathtaking views. At the summit, visit the experiments area, which presents the research carried out at Pic du Midi on the stars, the sun, meteorites and more.
