The Vallon du Salut from Bagnères de Bigorre

Le Vallon du Salut: this 10 km round-trip hike (230 m ascent), starting from the allée Tournefort in Bagnères, is accessible to everyone, hairy and human alike! From your nature campsite in the Hautes-Pyrénées, discover the former thermal baths, now home to the natural history museum and botanical conservatory. The Vallon du Salut is a listed site and has been frequented since the 18ᵉ century by curists, locals and tourists alike.

Unforgettable routes
From Col du Tourmalet to Pic du Midi de Bigorre with your dog
On this 8 km itinerary (1,200 m ascent), dogs are welcome on the hiking trail, but not in the museum or on the terrace of the Pic du Midi. However, your pooch will be able to enjoy breathtaking panoramas as much as you do. The hike starts from the Col du Tourmalet and continues to Lac d’Oncet at 2254 m, before arriving at the 2877 m high Pic du Midi de Bigorre.
Lac Bleu hike
An unforgettable experience, offering magnificent scenery and a variety of trails suitable for all levels. A typical mid-mountain lake, known for its beautiful blue color and surrounding scenery. The hike to the lake is well marked and offers a variety of landscapes, including waterfalls and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

Tour of Caesar’s Camp in Pouzac
Set in the hills opposite the campsite, this 6 km walking trail winds its way through the heights of the village of Pouzac, offering fine views. The trail passes the spot where remains of a Gallo-Roman cult site were discovered. This beautiful walk with your dog takes you through a variety of landscapes, from meadows to forests.
La Mongie and its pastoral atmosphere
Departing from the La Mongie ski resort, set off on an 8 km hike with a vertical drop of almost 570 m. This loop allows you to admire the beauty of the surrounding pastures and landscapes, between torrents, rocks and mountain flowers.
