General questions

What are the high and low season opening dates?

When the campsite is closed in winter, a member of staff is available from Monday to Friday to answer any questions you may have, by e-mail or telephone.

The campsite will be open from April 04 to October 31, 2026.

Reception hours, daily: 8:30am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 6pm

In high season, from July 04 to August 28 inclusive, Reception is open every day from 8:30am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm (8pm on Saturdays and Sundays).

Your full contact details, the dates and type of accommodation or pitch, and a means of payment are essential for booking.

How do I pay for my stay, my reservation, my deposit, my balance?

Rental For all reservations, a deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking.

For stays in July and August, the balance must be paid 30 days before the scheduled arrival date.

For rental stays outside summer, the balance must be paid no later than the day of arrival.

Campsite For all pitch bookings, a deposit of €50 is required. For one or two-night bookings, the full amount is required.

The balance must be paid on the day of arrival.

Is there a booking fee?

We do not charge booking fees.

How can I check that my reservation has been registered?

When my booking is confirmed, I receive a confirmation e-mail with a voucher for my stay and an invoice for the deposit.

What payment methods are accepted?

You can pay by bank transfer, cheque (payable to Camping Le Monlôo), credit card (securely on the site), ANCV vacation vouchers or ANCV e-connect vacation vouchers.
The campsite is not VACAF approved.

Can I pay for my stay with an ANCV cheque?

Payments for rental stays or pitches can be made by ANCV vacation vouchers, classic or dematerialized, for the deposit and/or balance.

When booking on the website, e-connect payment can be made directly.

Payment by classic ANCV vouchers must be notified at the time of booking and sent by recorded delivery with acknowledgement of receipt.

Does the campsite issue refunds for late arrivals?

In the event of or early departure, no refund will be made.

It is essential to inform Reception by telephone (or by e-mail when Reception is closed) of your arrival time.

Will I have to pay a deposit for my stay?

To rent accommodation, a deposit of €300 per unit must be paid on arrival (cheque, credit card deposit, cash) at check-in.

Please notify reception of any damage or missing items you notice on arrival.

After your departure, we will carry out an inventory of fixtures and fittings and cancel your deposit.

Is there a tourist tax to pay?

Yes, there is a tourist tax (€0.85 per night per person over 18).

And an environmental contribution (0.15cts per night per person regardless of age).

Are babies and children counted in the number of people for accommodation?

Children’s rates start at 2 years old and go up to 18 years old; children are counted from 2 years old for pitches and for rentals from the moment they occupy a bed.

Can I rent a refrigerator or barbecue?

We offer refrigerators for hire.

We do not offer barbecues for hire.

Where are the toilets?

When you arrive, we’ll give you a map of the campsite and show you which toilet block is closest to your pitch.

How do I get to the washrooms?

The sanitary facilities are open 24 hours a day, and no tokens are required for showers.

Where can I drain my motorhome?

There’s an emptying area at the entrance to the campsite next to reception, with a chemical emptying unit and a water point
Note: on XL pitches, you can connect to drinking water and drainage.

Can we install an extra tent on our plot?

Tents can only be set up on camping pitches. We can do our best to reserve a pitch and a rental on 2 plots side by side.

How can I change my stay?

To modify my stay, I contact the campsite by telephone to check the possibility of modification. Any change affecting the price of the stay will be confirmed by e-mail from the campsite.

What happens if I can't make it? What are the cancellation conditions?

All reservations are nominative and cannot be transferred or sublet.

All cancellations must first be made by telephone to the campsite reception and then confirmed in writing by e-mail or post.

– Cancellation up to 31 days before the start of your stay:
The 25% deposit will be retained by the campsite as a cancellation fee.

– Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival:
All sums paid will be retained by the campsite.

– Or, you have taken out cancellation insurance and as soon as we are informed, we will send you the necessary documents so that you can contact the insurer.

– Or, you have not chosen to subscribe to the insurance offered by the campsite because you are covered by another insurance and we will send you the supporting documents relating to your reservation.

Cancellation and interruption of stay insurance is optional, but we encourage you to take it out. It amounts to 3% of the total cost of the stay.

To be valid, cancellation insurance must be paid with the deposit.

In particular, it covers cancellations of your stay for medical reasons, serious accident or death, accidents causing major damage to your home, dismissal or changes to your vacation entitlement by your employer, or because you have been called up for an examination or to appear in court. The full terms of the cancellation insurance contract are available on request. Friends or family are coming to see me. Are they allowed to join me on the campsite?

Your guests must go to the campsite reception to pay the visitor fee and gain access to the campsite. The daily visitor rate gives access to all campsite services.

Can we arrive any day of the week? What time can I arrive and leave?

Low season:

For a camping pitch, youcan choose your arrival and departure days; entry is from 2 pm to 6 pm and departure before 12 am.

For a rental, you can choose your arrival and departure days, for a stay of 2 or 3 nights minimum depending on the dates and type of accommodation: check-in is from 2pm to 6pm and check-out before 10am.

– High season:

For a camping pitch, you can always choose your arrival and departure days; entry is from 2pm to 7pm and departure before 12am.

For rentals, arrival and departure days are Saturdays and Sundays only; entry is from 3 pm to 8 pm and departure before 10 am.

Can we bring our dog?

Dogs are welcome on pitches at the Monlôo campsite.

We accept a maximum of one dog per pitch, as well as in certain accommodations specifically marked on the site.

We charge an additional fee for our 4-legged friends, from €3 to €5 per night, depending on the period. They must be kept on a leash and must never be let loose.

Poop bags are available in a dispenser next to Reception.

An up-to-date vaccination certificate must be available at reception on arrival. 1st and 2nd category dogs are not allowed on the campsite.

When renting, they mustn’t be left alone.

Is it possible to choose your location?

You can reserve your preferred pitch or choose according to criteria that are important to you (shade, close to sanitary facilities, with friends, near or far from the lagoon, swimming pool, restaurant, playgrounds, a number). You’ll need to tell us your criteria when you make your reservation in the comments section. Depending on availability at
, we will do our utmost to satisfy you.

Although it is rare that we are unable to satisfy your request, we cannot guarantee a location 100% of the time.

Can minors come alone?

We do not accept unaccompanied minors.

What are the instructions concerning cars?

– Chalet or mobile-home rental: 1 parking space is provided next to your rental. 1 vehicle is included in your reservation.

Only a few accommodations offer parking a little further away from your accommodation; some 1-bedroom MHs and all new accommodations in the pedestrian zone have dedicated parking. You can unload and load your vehicles before parking in this area.

– Pitch: 1 vehicle is included in your reservation for L-size pitches; depending on the size of the accommodation you have installed, it is possible to park a 2nd vehicle on XL pitches. On the smallest type S pitches, this depends on the size of your accommodation
Reminder: A motorhome is a vehicle.

Daily life on the campsite

Is there wifi?

Wifi access is free on the campsite; its speed may depend on the number of visitors.

Can we have a barbecue?

Summer vacations and barbecues :

For pitches: the campsite has communal barbecues next to water points. You are responsible for their use. Remember to bring charcoal, grills…

You can bring your own, whether gas, coal or electric!

All rentals are equipped with a small barbecue, for which you’ll need charcoal, grills, a brush for cleaning… The barbecue may only be used on the lawn outside your rental’s terrace.

Where do I put my rubbish?

To save you from the nuisance of garbage cans and to take care of our beautiful environment, you’ll find garbage cans at the entrance to the campsite, next to the access barrier, on the parking lot. These are semi-buried containers.
Black-lidded garbage cans are for household waste, yellow-lidded garbage cans for plastic, paper and recyclable packaging, and green-lidded garbage cans for glass.

What are the bed sizes for rentals?

Rentals are available,

– for 1-bedroom MHs: a 140×190 double bed.

– for 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom MHs: 1 bedroom with 1 double bed (140×190) and 1 or 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds (80×190).

– for certain Privilège chalets, as well as the Exception MHs on the lagoon’s edge and the air-conditioned 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom MHs located in the new Pré Long pedestrian district: 1 bedroom with a 160 x 190 bed and 1 or 2 bedrooms with 2 small 80 x 190 beds (either side-by-side or bunk beds).

– for the air-conditioned Duos/Combos in the Pré Long district: 1 MH with 1 room with a 160×190 bed plus 1 MH with 3 rooms, 1 room with a 160×190 bed and 2 rooms with 2 small 80×190 beds side by side.

We offer linen kits including sheet hire;

1 pair of flat cloth sheets for €25 per 2-person bed, accompanied by 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and a bath mat.

1 pair of flat cloth sheets for €20 per 1-person bed, accompanied by a bath towel, 1 hand towel and a bath mat.

They are left in your accommodation before your arrival.

Do you rent out baby equipment?

For mobile home rentals, you can also rent a high chair and cot at an additional cost of €20/stay. We recommend that you make your request at the time of booking, either online or by e-mail, to check availability.

The sanitary facilities are also equipped with everything you need: a lockable area with changing table and children’s bathtub.

Do you offer bike hire?

Electrically-assisted mountain bikes are available for hire by the day or half-day only, for a fee of and a deposit of

Bike hire is available in Bagnères and Beaudéan.

Is there a laundry?

Washing machines and tumble dryers are located in 2 sanitary buildings, one near the restaurant and the other near Reception, where tokens are on sale for €4.50; detergent is on sale for €0.50.

An iron is available at reception.

Is end-of-stay cleaning included in my booking?

You have chosen to have your rental cleaned: before you leave, make sure that the dishes are done and put away, the beds unmade and the linen kits put in the bathroom, the dustbins emptied, the kitchen and bathroom surfaces cleaned, the floors swept and washed.

If you prefer the end-of-stay cleaning option, you will have to pay a supplement (between €65 and €75 depending on the size of the rental).

Are rentals equipped with air conditioning and heating?

Some of the units are equipped with reversible air conditioning (air conditioning/heating), others with electric radiators only.

Do rentals come with blankets?

All rentals are equipped with synthetic comforters. You must bring your own sheets, or consider purchasing additional linen kits when booking.

Games, activities and entertainment

Does the campsite have playgrounds and sports fields?

We have several outdoor play areas for which we have equipment on loan (ball, rackets and balls for tennis, padel and ping pong; boules):

– a tennis court accessible by registering at reception; the reception team will give you the keys and equipment for 1 hour at no extra charge

– a pétanque area next to the reception area

– a covered area with 2 ping pong tables (don’t forget your balls and rackets)

– padel court (available at extra charge)

– a playground with net next to the lagoon

– a multi-sport panel with basketball hoop and soccer cage next to the reception area

– a children’s play area with a bouncy castle and wooden structures (monkey bridge, etc.) suitable for small children, close to Reception

– an unsupervised indoor heated swimming pool

– a lagoon for swimming: neither covered, nor treated, nor heated, nor supervised

What are the conditions of access to the pool?

Access to the swimming pool is included in your stay. It’s open, covered, heated all season and reserved for guests staying at the campsite.

The Lagoon, an untreated, unheated swimming area, is open from mid-June to mid-September, depending on weather conditions
Please note:
– Swimming shorts are forbidden
– Children are under the responsibility and supervision of their parents.

What are the bathing area opening times?

The swimming pool:

in April, May and October: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

June to September: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The lagoon only in summer (mid-June to mid-September depending on weather conditions): 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Does the campsite have a restaurant?

The campsite has a restaurant open evenings only and from mid-June to mid-September with :

– a pizza menu to eat in or take away,

– a snack-brasserie menu based on local produce (mixed salad, burger, pasta, local cheeses, dessert
Reservations are recommended, especially on concert evenings.
You can dine on the bar’s large terrace, in the dining room or take away at your pitch.

What is the minimum age at which children are looked after by activity leaders?

Every week during the high season, we offer entertainment from Monday to Friday,

– late afternoon: introduction to padel, pétanque competitions, children’s team games, sports activities, quizzes…

– one day (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) a week reserved for children’s activities for ages 6 to 12.

– one concert per week, starting around 7pm and ending at 10:30pm at the latest.

Where to buy bread?

Fresh bread and pastries are on sale every morning, either at reception in low season or at the bar in high season.
Please note: orders must be placed with reception the day before.

What are the bar's opening hours?

The bar is open from mid-June to mid-September from 8am to 10am and from 2pm to 11pm during the summer, and offers hot and cold drinks and ice creams.

Can we also have breakfast?

Yes, go to the bar for breakfast (fruit juice, hot drink, etc.) on the terrace or in the dining room.

Outside the campsite

Where can I shop?

The town center, with its many local shops (butchers, fishmongers, grocers, greengrocers, bakers, patisseries, chemists, hairdressers, health professionals, etc.) and market, is 2.5 km from the campsite, and several supermarkets are within 3 km of the campsite,

Where to buy stamps and postcards?

You can find postcards and stamps in the shops of Bagnères de Bigorre. We have a postcard of the campsite at reception. The green mailbox is located in front of reception.

When are the markets held?

– Monday: Luz Saint Sauveur (8am to 12pm)
– Tuesday: Campan (4pm to 8pm), Tournay (8am to 12pm), Argelès-Gazost (8am to 12pm)
– Wednesday: Trébons (4pm to 7pm), Lannemezan (8am to 12pm)
– Thursday: Tarbes, Ar 8am-12pm
– Friday: Cauterets, Payolle (in summer)
– Saturday: Bagnères de Bigorre
– Sunday: Campan, Labarthe de Neste, Arrens-Marsous

How do I organize my activities and visits?

At reception, you’ll find a wealth of information and a team who know the area inside out. During our welcome events in high season, we provide you with practical information and details of activities, hikes, visits… Our beautiful region abounds in riches as varied as our landscapes, and the advisors at the Tourist Office (in town, 2.5 km from the campsite) present them to you with professionalism.

How do I consult a doctor in an emergency?

On the notice board outside reception, you’ll find various useful numbers, including those for doctors, emergency services and the fire department.

In case of emergency, there’s a telephone next to the reception door that you can pick up.
